Forget About Mission-Vision, Create This Instead
I saw these statements posted along the hallway of the company I’m currently in. The management posted it where every employee can see it. I think this is so great not to share so I take a photo of it and posted it here.
They call it The Ten Company Mantras.
- Take care of our people who will take care of our patrons who will bring in the profits.
- Work honestly, even no one is watching.
- Word of mouth is the best marketing tool.
- Don’t sell anything that you are not using yourself. The best marketer is the user.
- Lead by good example.
- When you help others, you help yourself.
- Failing to plan is planning to fail.
- Customers must be treated well at all times.
- The best method is one that is simple, fast and repeatable.
- A team that prays together, succeeds together.
Not a typical mission-vision thing, right?
What makes this remarkable is that you can see the signatures of the company's executives.
More like the famous Declaration of Independence in America.
Signed and sealed.
I think this is a best practice for every company and organizations.
Forget about mission-vision, and create mantras instead.
Mantras are easy to understand. Easy to share and explain. No need for generic statements to please auditors. Every employees down the line can understand. Just plain and simple.
