We’re taught on how to find market research for your product creation or marketing information.

But what if, instead of finding where the market is, you create one.

In my previous post, I share that you can do your market research either by gold mining in Amazon, conducting surveys or having one-on-one interviews.

Another way of conducting your research is exploring the Facebook groups.

If Amazon is the gold mine, Facebook groups are your like school of fish or pack of wolves or flock of birds.

In short, a group of people with common interest.

What can you wish for? If you are looking for a place where your potential prospects hang out and drop by, the Facebook group is the place to be.

By observing the group, you will know what’s hot on the market.

Joining the Facebook group is a good idea but there is some limitation since you are not the admin. You are bound to some rules and regulations and obliged to follow. (respect).

So why not create your group, club, guild or whatever you want to call it.

The Advantage of Having Your Facebook Group

First of all, when you start building your facebook group, you are building an authority. People will think that you accomplished something.

Second, you can do all your market research. Given that you have already had an ample quantity of members, you can conduct surveys and interviews. This is also an effective way of building your lists.

Third, higher probability of future collaboration on other influencers. There is a chance that your members are also a member of similar niche. You can contact the influencers for joint venture or at least competition research.

How Do You Build and Grow Your Facebook Tribe

Be an active contributor. Join a similar Facebook group and reply to posts asking for advice and tag your facebook group. Instant Authority. Instant Invitation.

Run inviting contest. Post an Invite A Friend Challenge. The rule of the game is for your member to tag at least X number of friends. Those who have the most tagged friends will win the prize. Instant Promotion. Instant Advertising.

Since you have your own facebook tribe, all you have to do is to take advantage of the chance to know your market up close and on hand.

One Final Tip of Advice

Before you accept new members, provide “Member Asking Question” for them to answer.

Use this feature to ask new members the challenges and frustration they encounter on a particular topic.

Make sure you take a screenshot of their answers since Facebook does not keep the data after approval.
